There are a few women here that have known me for quite a while, and know that I'm a socialist. I have given away my material life and now live on the verge of extreme poverty.
I am happy and content. I do wonder at times, how many more mails and flowers I would get if I owned an island in the Caribbean ?
It is sad that love so often equates to the type of car, house and bank account that one has.

It only matters for people who are shallow...it's the things money can't buy that matter the most to me...

Well Im sure their arent many big money spinners on CS or any other site for that matter! I dont agree that your not getting much mail nor flowers because of you choosing the way you want to live! Actually the way youve chosen to live sounds just as romantic as an island on the Caribbean anyways
I do not know you.. but speaking for myself.. I can tell you this.. money will never or has never..made anyone happy.. It is the simple things in life truly that makes one happy..
And the ones who think they need great cars, houses and designer clothes to make them happy, will never be happy.. no matter how many "things" they atain..(sp)
It will just take some longer to realize this, than others.. and until they do..
What is that biblical saying? It is much easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven..

No, it wouldn't matter to me, I am not particularly materialistic by nature.
There have been times in my life when I have had a lot and other times whereby I have had virtually nothing. I have adapted adequately to any given circumstance that has been thrust upon me and can do without if need be.
There are many things in life one can enjoy or appreciate without having much. Example: the other day I was in a shop as it was approaching dusk. I was surrounded by many people and out of the window, on the horizon, was the most amazing sunset. A multitude of vibrant colours, and in places looked like the earth was on fire! I remarked about how spectacular the sky looked and, from the assistant and others around me, was met with a "huhh?" and some funny looks.......

I too was born with nothing , had the jag the house the lot now she has them and shes welcome to them lol , i still have a love for life the ability to raise my own food and the thing she cant get from me is I am a nice person and intelligent so on the material side of things you can keep it lol poverty only exists for the greedy people in life
Being rich doesn't means to be happy. Being happy does means to be rich. Bars are bars even if they are golden. So it is better without them than possessing them. But, no need for extreme poverty if you don't have to be because there is no need for to go in other extreme. None is good, I think so.
I never look at a person's wealth in material things, to me its about the person they are.......I got an email for a man on cs saying that women here are into lookin at how big a wallet he had, I told him dont paint all of us with the same brush. To me it more about how big a heart he has than how big his wallet is.....
I know money could never buy me as i am priceless..... now i am jokin

I'm not going to lie, I wouldn't want to live on the verge of extreme poverty. I dont consider myself materialistic, I have the basics without going to extreme. I drive a simple car, I have a house just big enough for my family and I struggle to make ends meet. I make a decent living but support 3 kids on my own. Living in poverty doesn't seem that appealing to me, but that is just me.
I don't need the island in the Carribean but I do need some sense that I can provide the basics to my family. Is that wrong?

Only poor people talk about money not bringing happines. No one really cares if you have money or not. Women no longer need men to look after them, we work our own money and many women make a lot more than most men. Life is what you make it. If you contact women first instead of waiting for them to chase you your experience will be more fulfilling. A lot of women don't contact men, they like for men to write to them first. Try being proactive and stop complaining it is not an attractive quality
While money doesn't buy true happiness. We do need enough to provide for our family and have the necessities. While poverty is something I wouldn't "volunteer" for, I may not have much wealth materialistically, but I have unseen riches within.
Best wishes to you Paws in your endeavor to find a truly special lady that will love you for you and not what you have or lack thereof.

Yes, we do live in an ego driven world. However, giving away all may be counter productive. We do need money to survive in this twisted world. I'm not wealthy, nor am I poor. I try to help others as best I can, but I don't allow what I can't do to create a quilty conscience.
