gentlepaws: There are a few women here that have known me for quite a while, and know that I'm a socialist. I have given away my material life and now live on the verge of extreme poverty.
I am happy and content. I do wonder at times, how many more mails and flowers I would get if I owned an island in the Caribbean ?
It is sad that love so often equates to the type of car, house and bank account that one has.
You state extreme cases. I do not demand a big house, fast car and loads of fancy clothes. I do not even like shopping. But I am 50 and do not want extreme povety as I approach old age. We live a lot longer nowadays and our retirement can last a good 30 years if lucky! Extreme povety? cold? unable to pay medical bills? No thank you. I want to be warm and comfortable and not worrying about how to pay bills, sitting in front of a one bar heater wrapped up in wooly clothes. If asking to be warm and comfortable in my later years is considered greedy then I am greedy.
lusciousmile: Selfless generosity knows no boundaries, Mike. They get a nibble!
I lived in Sri Lanka, long an well and during the tsunami we (all in the village, poor or not poor) sent dried fish, rice and salt BACK to the coast since it is the basic food there.
Yes, an island needs to keep together in better or worse.
nuala: I never look at a person's wealth in material things, to me its about the person they are.......I got an email for a man on cs saying that women here are into lookin at how big a wallet he had, I told him dont paint all of us with the same brush. To me it more about how big a heart he has than how big his wallet is.....I know money could never buy me as i am priceless..... now i am jokin
lusciousmile: Are you honestly saying that women should not consider how they will pay their bills, before jumping into a relationship with a man who doesn't want to work?
lusciousmile: Does love pay the bills? Does it put your children into college? Does it clothe you?We might as well get those beggars off the streets and take care of all their debts.
In this case, men who think like this probably need to be with their mummies, not partners.
I so agree. If a man asked a women about her status it would not be considered in the same light. He would just be covering his ASSets.

yes love pays the big bills If you have love all you need is a warm place to sleep and a bit of a snack. everything else is a f--ing luxury and wont for fill you
dcj22: What the hell are you doing here? Almost everything you post is extremely derogatory to women!
I'm wondering the same thing! Seems to me you would find what you're looking for in your local red light district instead of on here. JMO based on that last post. You really don't like women apparently.

It's less difficult to live as a beggar, on an island.
Something about Vitamin D, straight from the sun!
