RE: do you let people smoke in your house or ask

If you feel guilty about sending them outside, go with them while they smoke.

One of my ex-housemates was a smoker. He didn't mind smoking on the balcony but didn't like being isolated from the people inside. So we made an agreement... if he needed a cigarette he'd only smoke outside, but if we were in the middle of a conversation I'd join him outside (even if that meant putting on a coat and braving the winter weather).
