i developed a lung condition that i cant be in a room where others smoke or the room is really full of people as i lose my breath and have to go on my nebuliser....before that happened i didnt mind people smoking....now i feel really bad when i explain they cant....

well, funny you should ask - I ve been toying with this question.
I went to the doctor on friday to get a new pill which is supposed to close down the nicotine receptors in yr brain and stopping smoking is meant to be a doddle - heres hoping

yes but i have not smoked in 10 years, i had misdiagnosed pnuemonia and ended up with pock marks in my lungs and i am like an asthmatic but classed as a chronic one....this all just happened since January i have had to have my lungs flushed but i am doing at the moment so thank god for that.....

I go outside for one myself when my daughter is here with the kids - its not too bad cos theres a covered area but its flippin cold at times

As a smoker (for now, trying to quit), I do not even ask to smoke in someone's house unless they are a smoker and they smoke in their house.
It's an automatic go to the door when I want to smoke. Its not their choice that I smoke so why ask them to make a choice to let me smoke in their home?

Di's daughter is a non smoker and went with her bf to a smoking cessation clinic where she took the breath test just for curiosity - it showed that she smoked something like 15 to 20 cigs a day - frightening isnt it

you could try it for yourself - almost all the gp surgeries have the clinics that you can drop into and then you can tell yr son what its doing to you but its made me think more about the whole smoking issue - till I heard this I was kinda thinkin that the passive smoking thing was a bit far fetched
