It can be hard to get a correct diagnosis - if you can go to a doctor who specilizes in endocrinolgy you might have better luck. Sometimes the doctors don't check all the levels of the thyroid - ie T3, T4 and Free T3 & T4.
Hi kitty - I've had the same problem - having the thyroid checked is a very good idea - if it's not working properly it can cause all sorts of physical problems. Also, have they checked you for Fibromyalgia? I have that and it can cause the symptoms you describe - it's also hard to get diagnosed as there is no test for it - they have to eliminate all other possibilities - if you do a search for Fibromyalgia on the internet you will find a lot of info about it.
Good luck in finding a solution - I know that weight loss will help, but if your thyroid isn't functioning properly it will be very hard to lose the weight.
Here in North Alabama it ranges from $2.94 to $3.05 for the regular - don't pay attention to the other prices - luckily my vehicle uses regular and not the high priced stuff.
