In my wordy profile I have "May someone love you enough to forgive your faults, be blind to your blemishes, & tell the world about your virtues. - that is true love... which i am having a hard time believing in anymore - so prove me wrong. Prove to me its still there..."

This is all excellent advice.

I wish I would have had this advice when I first started dating back in 1998 and was using the internet as my means for a dating tool.

I have paid for not having this advice and made these same rules as I had my positive and negative experiences. They are good to have! And always remember to go by your intuition or gut instinct - it is usually right!!

Like many here I'd have to say cat - I love cats, they are so independent, yet when they are mothers, they care for their young, protect and nurture their cubs/kittens. The teach them how to defend themselves...

Yet they are independent, loyal, always try to go after what they want and can defend themselves with their nice sharp nails.
