I'm new to the area I live in without any friends and I need someone to talk with. I met this guy on a dating site and hit it off through conversation. We set a date to get together and he blew me off. He contacted me the next day apologizing with this some story. He then invited me to lunch the next day. He didn't think I would show but I did and we had an enjoyable afternoon with an amazing kiss goodbye. We then set up another date for that Sunday thinking he wasn't going to blow me off this time and again, no show no call. A week went by until he text me with "Happy Birthday." We started talking again but this time the honesty came out. He's been divorced for 8 years and hasn't felt the feelings that he has for me in a long time so he got scared and he ran. I told him I was tired of chasing him because it isn't who I am. I tried to get together this past weekend and it came and went without a call. This time we didn't have official plans. He preceded to tell me that he wanted to see me yesterday but his phone broke. I asked him about a payphone, about his home phone, and about email. I finally wrote him an email indicating that when he was ready a good girl would drop in his lap. He preceded to tell me that I deserve a guy that will give me the time I deserve. I then told him that I would delete his number and move on. Why can't I move on? He's attractive; his personality is amazing; and he's a wonderful kisser. I know we share the same feelings, he's just not acting on his and can easily push me away. What should I do? I'm looking for a serious response here please. These are my true feelings and a true situation I'm going through. I need some guidance because I truly want to be with him. How can I make him ready and pursue me?
