RAINBOW BRIDGE
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body begins quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
So...today, I disciplined myself and did NOT buy cigarettes and as of right now, I have TWO cigarettes left. So I'm officially making an attempt to quit after these 2 are gone.
I think it's awesome what you are doing and appreciate you sharing with the group! Perhaps you can help us all by sharing each class with us. Even if what you share, helps ONE person, that is a positive outcome.
We all know how bad smoking is, not to mention downright nasty and smelly...and expensive. It's truly a disgusting habit, but yet so many of us find it difficult to quit, especially alone.
So I thought we could start a SMOKERS CESSATION support group here and maybe...just maybe some of us can finally kick the habit and be on our way to better health and expand the choices for a "Match". (Pardon the pun)
PLEASE ...No chastising any of the members who are smokers and wanting to be part of this group TO QUIT. We all know why it's bad and the importance of quitting, so be SUPPORTIVE and positive towards our efforts.
Those who wish to participate to QUIT, we'll need to choose a date TOGETHER to begin the process. We need to be honest with each other about our progress, but most importantly, be honest with ourselves throughout the process. While it's true, no one can be here 24/7 for each other when the craving rears up, but certainly we can utilize this forum as a way to divert the craving as much as possible.
For the Ladies looking for a man, what do you consider, based on your own age, is too young or too old to think about dating or to have a relationship with?
For men looking for women, what do you consider, based on your own age, is too young or too old to think about dating or having a relationship with.
And why?
I'm 54 and I like younger men, but not younger than 45. I just find the biological differences vary greatly...for me anyway. The same goes for older...I draw the line at 60.
I would never consider dating someone my daughters age (34) or younger just based on moral values.
