You're speaking from your experience. I don't think it has anything to do with gender.

I've had a message from a guy telling me he wants me to meet him for a coffee that day despite it being a five hour drive there and a five hour drive home. Ten hours for a cup of coffee? When he could nip home in five mins if things didn't work out. He got very angry at me when I said no. There was no discussion about meeting half way.

A lot of profiles on here actually state that they want the woman to relocate should things work out. Believe it or not us women actually have lives of our own too, it's not just about men.

I met two guys from a site and I was the one that did hours of driving and bought the coffee. So stop thinking it is because it is because you are a man.

If things work out between the couple then they can discuss ways of relocating. I once relocated to Switzerland. I gave up my life in Ireland, he moved here first and didn't like the Irish way so as you do in a relationship you try to make it work, so I moved there. Unfortunately things didn't work out in the end.

If you find the right girl you would move to the end of the earth for her. Or she would move it for you. Compromises can be made.

So please don't generalize.
