Yeah i get what you mean sometimes i have tried to join in on the threads and its like im not there i suppose they are all so into what they are chatting about they dont even notice but glad you started this cause yeah our irish treads are way too quiet so if you need any help in changing that just ask ok

Hi just read your request I will try to give you advice from my experience and what has worked for me not saying it might work for your friend but its worth a shot. Like your friend I too was that happy go lucky person who put on a great front around people but like them behind closed doors I would cry alone and would I be right in saying that your friend is probably the type of person who would be there for anyone and try and help everyone with their problems and really get involved personally to help anyone?
Well if this is so this is because by helping everyone else she then cant forget about her own troubles. I learnt that the hard way so all I can say to you is tell your friend that she now needs to think about herself and ask her simple little questions like what would make her happy? Let her know that no matter what she does she can't change the past but learn from it and use it to create a happy future, ask her about her goals and dreams in life and what steps she needs to take to get there and at all times let her know you are there for her and would never judge her. Let her know that it is her time now to be happy ask her to look at the good things she has in life and let her know that she would not be the good person she is today if she had not been through what ever crosses she had to bear in life. What ever or who ever has caused her pain in the past tell her use that hurt and pain as a determination to make a better life and show those who hurt that she is strong and will not be beaten. I hope this advice helps and if it really is too painful for her to go there maybe she needs to seek counselling. Well I wish you luck and she is lucky to have a kind frind like you.

Very interseting thread i must say an agree with all that is said positive thinking positive energy positive results i have done this and has worked for me positive affirmations are the key i think
