1982....

i had shoulder length blonde hair... and i was a rocker.... yes u read that right...

jeans with the bands embroidered all over them.. granddad shirts , reefer jacket bought in the Army surplus store in caple street ( yes P i remember it too

) and a table cloth for a scarf.. well wasnt really a table cloth but it bloody looked like one...

and to finish off the look... Fingerless gloves... totally cool... in 1982..

then came the perm...

cant talk about that.. far too traumatic

Now that runs in the family

and as it happens i opened my shop accross the road from the garda station... not intentionally of course..

have been known to drive around roundabouts twice with LL to get a good gawk

Great thread but am a little shocked to be honest at the male response...

they say they want strong independant non ditsy women ...

hmmm me thinks there are more porkies flying around here than swine flu germs

have never yet met a man who wont fall for the ditsy helpless female act.. ok so we had to learn to do things like plumb in dishwashers.. who the bloody hell else was gonna do it..we had no choice..

and then we are called ball breakers cause we dont shut up and put up.. well i am a strong independant woman who may not know how to plump in a dish washer but i will give it a damn good try and thats me... now i know why im still single.. at least thats clear lol
