Being a boring old fart, l am listening to an audiobook. The bonehunters by Steven Erikson. Its one of the Malazan book of the fallen series. An amalgam of Terry Pratchett, Game of Thrones, and Tolkien. Absolutely brilliant.
It looks like Smiley 963 has been sorely hurt in the recent past. There are genuine people left on this earth, although it does seem at times they have all headed for the hills. As an observer of life in general, l can honestly say that the way things have been going here over the last 20 years, people are putting up mental barriers to protect themselves. They seem to be scared of letting these barriers down in case they reveal their insecurities. Losing their jobs/ losing status etc etc. All these things affect the way people act. It doesn't appear to be a conscious thing. Just an inherent thing from times when man had to protect his cave etc.
As for me, the laptop l am using has a windows programme on it but l cannot find the stuff to operate the camera. I have a non-smart phone but that doesn't seem to be able to transfer pics. Otherwise you would see my ugly mug, no problem.
