RE: Would you quit job, sell car, house, tv and move after someone if you had fallen in LOVE?

The difference from those times is well, morals. Morals have changed so much and not to mention population is soaring... the more people there are, the weirder they get. Crime rates go up. The world is a very unsafe place and it's safer for you to not trust people. It is a shame but unfortunately how our worlds works now.

RE: How many times have you been married ?

NEVER!!!!!!!!! I hope it stays that way for a long time to come, marriage is.... meh. It's only recently that I thought of it as anything more significant than a government label in order to receive benefits from it. I don't like the idea of chaining someone to you so they can't escape. Meh. My dad went through two divorces for two horrible marriages that ruined my life (in the past) so that's probably why I'm bitter about the subject.

RE: Would you quit job, sell car, house, tv and move after someone if you had fallen in LOVE?

No. I would never trust someone enough to give up everything for them. If it doesn't work out or if something happens, then where do you go? I'd do things differently, maybe move, to go after someone if we loved each other but I need to have something that's mine and separate that I can go back to

RE: I Miss Him...

All I know is that America is falling and falling hard. I've lost all hope in being able to stand up at all to stop the Bush administration from raping my rights as a citizen. 01-20-09 is the long awaited end of an error. Hopefully America can pull herself together. Which means we'd need a Democrat president to balance it out. And not Hillary. If Hillary wins I still have no hope. I don't think she's sign the Kyoto Treaty, or pull out of the war. I'm afraid she'll turn into a Republican puppet. But even Obama himself is corporate, they're all about the money, but atleast Obama is the better candidate. Younger and fresher.

RE: I Miss Him...

What are you talking about?

RE: I Miss Him...

Prove it.

And thanks for the insults, really gets your point across. What was your point, exactly?

RE: I Miss Him...

I don't agree or disagree with the Reagan discussion, that's all a matter of personal opinion. It doesn't appear to me that he did anything incredibly horrible or anything incredibly amazing. Just kinda there. Like I said before he has some great quotes though. Haha. I like the one about the government being like a baby. It's too bad he was a part of it, he seems to make fun of it a lot dunno It's just that whenever I see a comment about the Bush administration not being as bad as people say it is or that it's good.... part of me dies a little inside and my hope for this country slips farther and farther down the drain. Yep.

RE: I Miss Him...

There is? Where?!!???! uh oh

RE: I Miss Him...

HAHAHAHArolling on the floor laughinglaugh rolling on the floor laughing

RE: I Miss Him...

Well stated.

RE: I Miss Him...

Oh yeah did I mention that Bush invaded BEFORE war was declared? I'm pretty sure that that is not permitted? And yet he did it anyway... HMMMM yeah what an awesome president right?

RE: I Miss Him...

e's ruining our economy, our environment, our lives, our freedom. He's managed to get himself into such a high state of power that we can't even fight against it. Did you know that in Vermont, if he so much as steps foot in the state, he can be arrested and tried for treason? They passed a bill allowing it. Oh and atleast other presidents actually worked their way through college and the military, and can speak proper english. He's ruining everything we've ever stood for. Oh and one more thing.... in the grand canyon, they are no longer allowed to say that erosion created the canyon over hundreds of years.... they have to say that God created it as it was and it's never changed. He's been allowed to make them sell a book that never had to be edited or altered, they were written and placed on the shelf and it's completely about creationism. The majority of people are not creationists. He's spewing lies all over our country. He's sending us into another great depression and worse.... helping cause the possible end of America altogether, and helping destroy the ozone layer which is the reason we can even maintain life. Awesome. Now try to tell me there has been a worse president.

RE: I Miss Him...

Yeah the problem was that Bush used 9/11 to trigger fear among American citizens. He used it to his advantage. And people fell for it. But the problem was that there were not enough people who voted, so America was underrepresented. I believe that if enough people had voted then Bush would never have been in office. Oh wait not to mention the Florida list issue that stopped people from voting, voting fraud where people voted twice in two different states, and "broken machines" in prominent democratic black communities. It is our fault for not voting, but if I could have voted I would have.

RE: Alone or with someone else

Great movie, a bit long and slow-paced but I liked it a lot.

RE: Alone or with someone else

If it's a choice between living with someone I love or living alone then I'd choose someone I love, but when it comes to family or friends I'd much rather live by myself. I find a lot of family/friends untrustworthy and I don't like to worry. Plus I'm somewhat of a loner, by choice. Being alone is nice, and sometimes I just need to be able to have somewhere secure where I can be alone. If I don't want to be alone then I can just invite people over. I like having the freedom to choose. I live with a roommate now and lemme tell ya, it's a bit rough.

RE: life afer death

Who knows, maybe there are a few exceptions, maybe not. I've never been, so I have no personal experience to tack onto this. I know a lot of them are fake but that's a pretty cool story.

RE: life afer death

Haha that's if the world still exists 20 years from now XD But yeah, definitely. Right now, I love reading and learning about Buddhism, I love the way that it isn't as much about worshiping Buddha because he was human once. I love that. I love that the whole point of Buddhism is to learn how to just be, and how you have to find the best path through life trying to be the best person you can possibly be. Stand for peace. I just love the whole concept of it. That is exactly what I want to learn to do. Just to be, and I'm finding my way through life trying to make good decisions and find the best path through life. Have you ever heard of the Tao of Piglet and the Dao of Pooh? Greatest books ever!

RE: life afer death

I never said I didn't have an open mind, just because I don't personally believe things doesn't mean I'm not open to the possibility that I could be wrong. I do delve into it, I like to debate it and research it whenever I'm skeptical of something or feel like I need to delve deeper into the situation. I have an open mind but I also have my own beliefs. I'm not saying anyone is wrong because I don't have the power to do that.

RE: life afer death

Well I feel like that's what life is about, learning to be at peace with yourself. Humans are not peaceful creatures and good and bad are part of our nature. I would love to be at peace with myself, that's what I'm hoping I can learn from life. But it will take a while. I'm only in the beginning stages grin

RE: Something to think about!!

It's too bad that the ship was a cruise ship that crashed right by Newfoundland and wasn't anywhere near new York or Mexico at all. And *Cinco* de Mayo means the 5th of May, celebrated for the Battle of Puebla. Not mayonnaise. Feh.

RE: What is your biggest turn off on a first date? / part 2/

Or if they don't understand me when I use mediocre-big words. lack of intelligence = major turn off.

RE: What is your biggest turn off on a first date? / part 2/

If they're the interrupting type.

RE: life afer death

I meant with people. Science is just as deceptive as religion at times. It's hard to trust anything in this world.

RE: life afer death

Hmm well I'm not really sure I can continue this conversation because I do not share the same beliefs, probably because I cannot understand these observations, they don't make sense to me. I do not believe in souls or a god, or anything. I just believe that we die and our consciousness ends there. If anything happens afterward, it is not something that could be described with the human senses of sight, taste, hearing, smell, touch, knowledge, anything. I would like to believe in other dimensions, maybe other worlds and creatures in other dimensions, but I'm not sure I believe we can knowingly acquire a Karma in the sense that you speak in another dimension. We simply would not be able to tell. Taking things personally, defensiveness, these are all parts of personalities, they are not wrong. I strongly disagree that being defensive would cause you bad Karma. It's exactly the same as saying if you sin you're going to hell. I just don't buy it. But I respect your opinion and your theories and I find them interesting, something to think about for a while.

RE: life afer death

Well perhaps we have evolved since your youth to being able to think intellectually without the presence of LSD

RE: life afer death

How would you define "Karma"

RE: life afer death

Those are the things I love to think about. I love debating religion with people. Not ruthlessly, just like, real debate. It opens my mind to new ideas and concepts and I open theirs and it's a great experience. I love contemplating things like that.

RE: life afer death

Wikipedia is not a reliable nor cite-able source. Her brain was not dead, it was alive. We only use ten percent of our brain... I can imagine we have other consciousnesses that we are not conscious of (ha). That whole thing she saw could be a dream mixed with what she was conscious of, somehow. Even when you're unconscious, your brain stores information that you can't access in your regular consciousness. Everything that happens to you, your brain remembers, but you may not be able to recall it. She could have had a mix between recalling unconscious or conscious information and dreaming, but it doesn't appear to be divine intervention.

RE: life afer death

I feel like Heaven and Hell were just derived from the extremities of our own reality. That this life encompasses both: the radically bad and the radically good. The biggest flaw in religion is it's all about humans, so we know that it was created by humans. The Bible claims that God created them in his image, when in reality, it was humans who wrote that. It was written to deem humans as the greatest beings. (Not to mention, we've got evolution to think about here.) Everything is and has always been about power. It's how the world works. Silly silly world.

RE: life afer death

But who said that was outside of the body? I'm not sure I entirely believe that story... please send me an article or something and I'd like to look into it. I don't deem it possible to stop someone's brain and heart and after five hours, bring them back to life, when, after 10 minutes without oxygen, a person's brain would be completely useless. Maybe it's because they stopped the activity? Still I'm not sure how, and how they could possibly bring it back. No one knows what life is or how you can obtain it, so I'm still pretty skeptical. I don't believe that consciousness is a solid being that can see, hear, think, and exist. It is not existence in the way we think of it. A soul, if it exists, does not have ears or eyes or thoughts. It is simply energy, if it is a spirit then a ball of energy, but even still how and why would this energy stick together? Why wouldn't it disperse? And why would it re-enter the body? The energy could not have transported memories into her brain, even if it was a soul that left her and re-entered, of the conversations and tools. It's complete personification. I can't imagine energy acting human without a brain to store the energy. I feel like this documentary you speak of was a scam, perhaps. But I'm really interested in seeing it, to prove myself wrong maybe.
