as a single parent of two wonderful girls that their father did not want to be involved with...I have great respect for the fathers out there who work hard at being the best dad they can to their kids. Dads have a particularly hard time in this country especially when the marriage or partnership breaks up, so respect to the Dads that fight for their rights to be part of their children's lives and continue to love, support and care for their kids against all odds.
I only wish my girls could have had the type of Dad that Peter seems to be for his children.
the same guy sent me a long email. I replied, we chatted, swopped tel numbers, arranged to meet. It turned out I couldn't make the date and texted him to let him know and arrange another date. He then tells me he has decided he dosen't want to meet me as internet dating is not for him. It seems he was going to stand me up and only responded when I texted him. He is still on the site! So much for internet dating not being for him.
so ladies...beware of this guy..he is playing games and has no respect for the people who are here genuinely trying to find someone.
I suppose the thing is to not expect too much on a first meeting..hold back on our expectations and hopes and just say we are meeting a friend for a drink and a chat..
maybe not spending too long emailing or chatting on msn before meeting is better as this encourages the development of an idealised picture of the other person which can only disappoint.
we also need to be open minded and give the other person a chance even if they don't live up to our expectations...maybe our expectations are not realistic in the first place.
The thing is to just have fun with it...see what happens. d: )
Hi all..I often feel a little doomed myself..when you chat to someone for a while and you seem to be getting along but then it fizzles out..you question..you wonder..
but hey...it looks like there are some success stories on this site so there is hope right!
to me being agnostic means that while there is no irrefutable evidence to suggest that God does exist there is no irrefutable evidence to suggest that he doesn't exist..
