sorry to hear your news. i dont know what the survival rate is, i think it is dependant upon the strain.

However, my little boy had it when he was 3 - meningicocal sceptecemia (forgive the spelling). Was in a really bad way for around a week (thought we were losing him) and he managed to pull through more or less unscathed.

Now he's ten and giving me cheek on an hourly basis.

Just wanted you to know that there is always hope!
