Hello everyone, Just wanted to spread the word that there are singles dances held just about every other Sunday at the Silver Springs Shored Elks lodge on CR-25A near Belleview. Directions from the heart of Ocala are: Travel east on CR-484 cross over CR-35 (Baseline Rd) and CR- 484 becomes CR-25A look to your left for the entrance gate to the Elks club. It's about a mile to a mile and a half past Baseline Rd. The cost is $10 that pays for the hall rental and the band or DJ and snacks. The Elks also tend to the cash bar. 50/50 tickets are sold also and the prizes are drawn at 9pm. I have been to 2 of these dances and can personally testify that it was a blast. There were over 100 people at the dance and the Elks club has a nice big dance floor. The dress code is dressy casual. That means no jeans or shorts. The next 2 dates are Sunday July 27, 2008 and Sunday Aug. 10, 2008 (this one is a theme dance - dress like the 50's - 60's as it's a Sock Hop) The Elks Club does not sponcer the Dances.
