RE: Dating vs getting to know someone first?

I try to date real life and on these sites, to broaden the available possibilities. I think it’s harder on line because when you meet in person, the expectations are usually quite high;

1. you appearance, does not always mirror a photo
2. people tend to lie or at least embellish the truth
3. mannerisms show up in real life that are overlooked on line
