Hey, so I have never replied to a forum post. But this caught my eye. I've been in your place before.

I secretly despised my friends for being in "happy" relationships; so much so that I politely excused myself from group (read: the three of us) plans. It wasn't until I stopped giving a schit that I realised that most of then were miserable.

Coming from someone that just got out of a 2 year serious relationship (lived together for over a year), not all is rainbows and sunshine. He was a great boy who treated me like royalty but I had to give up a lot of things in my life as a "compromise." I suddenly remembered how much I loved my independance and freedom.

We are young women with lots of living left to do, and as soon as you get into a serious relationship, you have to start negotiating and compromising your dreams. Being single is so much fun, you just have to work it girl!

Don't put so much emphasis on getting into a relationship and putting the idea of a boyfriend on a pedestal, no one will ever compare to the man you've dreamed up already.

Whenever someone asks you to get a drink or a coffee, say yes. Always say yes (unless he's a creeper), never look past ANY opportunity.

I sound preachy and I'm rambling, but I hope I've been helpful. Be young, have fun and shake what your mamma gave you!
