What Are Your Christmas Plans ?

What Are Your Christmas Plans ? Am I A Redneck ?

For myself I'm making a giant pot of Potatoe Soup laced with ham.For decorations I strung mini lights around my ceilings that have Crown molding.
I put my creme Cashmere Western jacket in the cleaners mainly because some Cowgirl drunk spilled beer on it last Saturday nite.
Taking my black Stetson Hat to get it re-shaped and brushed.
Having my levis's heavy starched.
Get my Ostrich boots and silver star buckle shined up.
Check my supply of Wrangler's Cologne.
Brush my dog.
Go to the shooting range.

Clean the house. Make up the bed. Carry out the trash.
Since the Govt. pays me so well I guess they expect me to go to one of my fav. hangouts whereupon I'll do my best to satisfy any lady who wants company or a dance.

Since I don't drink much,,,,,,,,maybe it's time to get loaded. In fact I know of some places that actually would tilt over and collapse without my added weight on the other end of the barrel.

Now of course ifn I had a gal here with me then my plans would all change in a heartbeat to suit her.yay

RE: if he beat you while you were pregnant ?

I would of course try to prevent any harm to the mother and her child.
I met somebody who said he had once defended a pregnant woman who was getting beat-up. Supposedly he used a tire iron on the guy.
I suppose he's in prison now.

Acts of Kindness And Not Necessarily At Christmas

Acts of Kindness And Not Necessarily At Christmas

Diamond

I am wondering if you have ever;
Broken ice along a stream or riverbank so the animals could get a drink during the Winter ? That's a simple act of kindness.Easy to do.
Simply stop for awhile during one of your trips, grab a hammer and walk along a waterway breaking the ice for a little while so those soft nosed varmints can take a good long drink. Critters get thirsty too you know.Birds have small chances at water since their bills are meant for foraging seeds etc. rather than chipping thru' 2 inches of hard ice.
Think on it.

Have you ever stayed with somebody along a roadside until help arrived that hada flat tire or was broken down in some other way?

Have you ever gone out to a nightclub or dancehall where the older folks sat all night waiting to dance and, nobody asked them ?

Have you ever spotted a homeless person sitting on a sidewalk or curb and handed them a nice warm dinner?

Have you ever sat down with a mess of youngsters and told them some tall tales, even if you made them up ?

I was out exploring an old dried up riverbed last year. I had walked and climbed for miles when I happened on a huge Diamondback Rattler sleeping on a old rock in the Sun.
Old guy he was. He had had trouble shedding that old skin.
He woke up and got that rattle going. Funny. That old rattler had his tail all tangled up in the old skin he was shedding.
I guess he was in his final year or two of life.
My 12 Gauge Pump Shotgun was loaded and I still had it slung at my side. I had 5 shells loaded but none in the chamber. Safer that way.
We sat staring at each for a long time.He finally got use to me being there sitting in front of him and I felt the same way.
I would guess if he stretched out he'd max at around 8 ft.
Since I was about 4 ft. from him I figured he could strike me.
Eventually I just leaned back and took a nice nap. Guess those rattles, sun and broken shade from the river's Cottonwood Trees along the banks,,,made me sleepy some.
When I woke up he was sound asleep. Funny, but when I rose to leave,he slipped under a big ol'rock.

Let's continue on now;

When there were other things to do, have you ever taken the time to stay with a dying person ?

Many, many acts of kindness can be performed in any time of your lifespan and not necessarily at Christmas.

What are some of your experiences performing acts of kindness ?

MEXICO CITY—As dozens of major American corporations continue to move their manufacturing operations to Mexico, waves of job-seeking Mexican immigrants to the United States have begun making the deadly journey back across the border in search of better-paying Mexican-based American jobs.

"I came to this country seeking the job I sought when I first left this country," said Anuncio Reyes, 22, an undocumented worker who recrossed the U.S. border into Mexico last month, three years after leaving Mexico for the United States to work as an agricultural day laborer. "I spent everything I had to get back here. Yes, it was dangerous, and I miss my home. But as much as I love America, I have to go where the best American jobs are."

A group of Mexican workers make the dangerous trek home across the Rio Grande for their lunch break.
Reyes now works as a spot-welder on the assembly line of a Maytag large-appliance plant and earns $22 a day, most of which he sends back to his family in the U.S., who in turn send a portion of that back to the original family they left in Mexico. Like many former Mexican-Americans forced by circumstance to become American-Mexicans, Reyes dreams of one day bringing his relatives to Mexico so that they, too, may secure American employment in Mexico.

Despite the considerable risk illegal immigrants face in returning across the border, many find the lure of large U.S. factory salaries hard to resist—at 15 percent of the pay of corresponding jobs in America, these positions pay three times what Mexican jobs do.

Still, the danger is very real. When 31-year-old illegal Arizona resident Ignacio Jimenez sought employment at an American plant in Mexico, he was shot at by Mexican border guards as he attempted to illegally enter the country of his citizenship, pursued by U.S. immigration officials who thought he might be entering the country illegally, and fired upon again by a second group of U.S. Border Patrol agents charged with keeping valuable table-busing and food-delivery personnel inside American borders.

"It was a nightmare," Jimenez said. "Many became disoriented and panicked, and some were mixed in with immigrants going the other way across the Rio Grande and ended up swimming to the wrong country."

He added: "My cousin almost drowned. They fished him out and sent him back to wash dishes at T.G.I. Friday's."

Many say the trip across the border as illegal Mexican-American emigrants offers them a chance to land the American jobs in Mexico they never have been able to get as illegal Mexican-American immigrants in the U.S.

"It has always been my goal to have a good American job," Johnson Controls technician Camilla Torres, 27, said. "Many Mexicans now see Mexico as the land of opportunity. Mexicans will not stop trying to get here, no matter how much the Mexicans wish we would not."

Indeed, the trend of illegal re-emigration is causing great resentment among the local Mexican population, and tension between Mexicans and illegally re-entered Mexicans—dubbed repatriados—continues to build.

"I hate these Mexicans, always coming back here to Mexico from America and taking American jobs from the Mexicans who stayed in Mexico," said 55-year-old former Goodyear factory manager Juan-Miguel Diaz, who lost his job to a better-trained repatriado last March. "Why don't they go back to where they went to?"

"The American Dream is alive and well in Mexico," Reyes said. "If I work hard, save my money, and plan well, I will be able to send my children to a good school—and who knows? If they study hard, perhaps they will get jobs someday at the new plant General Motors is building in China."

How To use Coffee Filters

Coffee filters ..who knew! And you can buy 1,000 at the Dollar Tree for almost nothing.

COFFEE FILTERS: Not just for making coffee....

1. Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave.
Coffee filters make excellent covers.

2. Clean windows and mirrors. Coffee filters are lint-free so they'll leave windows sparkling.

3. Protect China
. Separate your good dishes by putting a coffee filter between each dish.

4. Filter broken cork from wine. If you break the cork when opening a wine bottle, filter the wine through a coffee filter.

5. Protect a cast-iron skillet. Place a coffee filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and prevent rust.

6. Apply shoe polish. Ball up a lint-free coffee filter.

7. Recycle frying oil. After frying, strain oil through a sieve lined with a coffee filter.

8. Weigh chopped foods. Place chopped ingredients in a coffee filter on a kitchen scale.

9. Hold tacos. Coffee filters make convenient wrappers for messy foods.

10. Stop the soil from leaking out of a plant pot. Line a plant pot with a coffee filter to prevent
the soil from going through the drainage holes.

11. Prevent a Popsicle from dripping. Poke one or two holes as needed in a coffee filter.

12. Do you think we used expensive strips to wax eyebrows? Use strips of coffee filters.

13. Put a few in a plate and put your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc on them.
Soaks out all the grease.

14. Keep in the bathroom. They make great "razor nick fixers."

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road ?

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?
ANSWER:
Pat Buchanan:

To steal a job from a decent, hardworking American.

The Bible:

And God came down from the heavens, and He said unto the chicken,"Thou shalt cross the road." And the chicken crossed the road, and it was good.

Colonel Sanders:

I missed one?

L.A. Police Department:

Give us five minutes with the chicken and we'll find out.

Richard M. Nixon:

The chicken did not cross the road. I repeat, the chicken did NOT cross the road. I don't know any chickens. I have never known any chickens.

Dr. Seuss:

Did the chicken cross the road?
Did he cross it with a toad?
Yes! The chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed, I've not been told!

Ernest Hemingway:

To die. In the rain.

Martin Luther King, Jr.:

I envision a world where all chickens will be free to cross roads without having their motives called into question.

Grandpa:

In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. If someone told us that the chicken crossed the road, that was good enough for us.

Aristotle:

It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

Karl Marx:

It was an historical inevitability.

Saddam Hussein:

This was an unprovoked act of rebellion and we were quite justified in dropping 50 tons of nerve gas on the it!

What chicken?

Captain James T. Kirk:

To boldly go where no chicken has gone before.

Fox Mulder:

You saw it cross the road with your own eyes. How many more chickens have to cross before you believe it?

Bill Gates:

I have just released Chicken '98, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook, and Explorer is an inextricable part of the operating system.

Einstein:

Did the chicken really cross the road or did the road move beneath the chicken?

Bill Clinton:

I DID NOT cross the road with THAT chicken

Memory

Wasn't too long ago

Memory was something you lost with age;
An application was for employment;
A program was a TV show;
A cursor was a person who used profanity.
A keyboard was a piano
A web was a spider's home
A virus was the flu
A CD was a bank account

A hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived

And if you had a 3 inch floppy!

You just hoped your girlfriend didn't find out.doh

My Foreign Wife
My wife came from Weatherford Texas( the bestest wife ever lived ) and myself from San Antonio Texas a distance of almost 450 miles apart.
She spoke in fluent West Texas Tongues while I ambled along in a deeper Southern drawl.
While she was raised on Eggs and grits I was educated in the finer culinary arts of beans,Enchiladas and Tacos.
Her parents presented her with her first vaccuum cleaner for our wedding while I got the proverbial necktie.
