I think your right about the depression.. I definately feel better when the weather is nice.. which is 1/4 of the time our of 365 days .. I am somewhat of a hermit.. and do not frequent coffee shops.. just the gym and work.
I have read to go to a coffee shop to meet people.. dont agree that is the best place and neither is a bar. coz you get people that dont care about their health as much.
I am older though.. and dont look for a place to meet people as much as when I was younger and loved to party.!! Always met people then. !!
And I think dating with people at work is asking for trouble so wouldnt consider that..
I think Washington has a lot of possibilities.. if someone really wants to know you they will be bold and let you know.. I have met people at the store that have asked me out to dinner !! Rare, but I think whereever you go .. church, outdoor functions.. the parade on the 4th of july, the library, the store, the outdoor fruit stands and like where I live in Edmonds they have Farmers market in the main street on weekends in the summer.. you can meet people where you go. It is soley up to you..
I am pretty much as you say a hermit.. but plan on getting out more..
I just think eventually the universe will hook you up !!
Oh, sorry to hear that, even though there is no snow on the roads right now..I am sure we still have more to go.. I am pretty good driving in the snow I found out it was almost fun..but the other people who dont give themselves enough room for cars..and act as if there were no snow on the ground had me frustrated too.. And the 4 wheel drive vehicles..!! Ok wonderful they have a leg up on us front wheel drive vehicles, but please ..!! Remember you still need to drive lower than the speed limit in ice and snow !! Got on the road one day ..and a 4 wheel drive vehicle (compact snow and ice ) sped past me and got in front with little room to forgive in case of slipping or sliding !!
We drove to a meeting place, I just wanted to see you because it just made my day to see you. I was so infactuated with you then.
that was all and it must of been mutual as you too took the time to chat.
I expressed how much I think of you. Your great smile. Your love of the mountains and hiking. Your love of photography all those things I loved about you. You were solid even though taken you allowed me to talk to you.
We met at a bar and talked it was near your place but not mine. Driving back You were in front of me..
I noticed your car slowing down in front of me ..In the middle of the freeway you pulled off to the shoulder.
I pulled my car behind yours to on the left shoulder behind your car.. You got out of your car and walked toward my car ..I got out of my car and met you in the middle .. and You held me close. It was so great that you wanted one last hug and to tell me You thought of me and were so flattered that I thought of you.
You hugged me there on a freeway in the middle of Seattle anyone driving could see were pulled over and hugged our last hug in front of many people driving by..as I got back into my car ...afterward I drove home knowing you gave me this memory I will never ever forget it keeps me young even though it was over 20 years ago. Thanks Gary S
We have the most snow and ice here since about 20 years ago.. People are having a hard time getting around.
I work in Redmond, to travel from Lynnwood to REdmond to me isnt worth the risk..
Staying home.. My office was closed Sunday and Friday, it closed early.
I am wondering how everyone is in Redmond has anyone had to traver from at least 35 miles south or north in Seattle or Lynnwood to Redmond and does not HAVE A 4 WHEEL DRIVE..A
snow are you effected by it??? Traveling from Lynnwood to Redmond ??
I would way prefer to be snowed in at the mountains !!!I think that would be beautiful !!
cozying up in front of a warm, crackling fire wearing warm comfy clothes and sipping on hot tea or wine !
Looking out to see the snow covered mountains, sounds lovely !!
Woke up to snow on my car again today.. a bit worried about commute tomorrow..but not too worried.
Just have to leave earlier to avoid those people who think 4 wheel drive protects them from black ice
This winter seems to be colder and longer than the last, and the one before that.. Although I can remember snow here in March.
I suppose the greenhouse effect really exists!
take care.
