Has anyone met with someone they've been talking to from either CS or any other sites from another state.

Does anyone ever meet the person from another state that you've been emailing and talking to from either this site or others?
I am still wondering if it is a long shot in the dark, so to speak. Is it a waste of time to get involved or is there any hope or chance they are serious and actually want to meet someday in the future.
I would really appreciate any thoughts or hear any success stories of people actually meeting from differnt area/states or countries.

I have been wondering if anything ever comes from talking and emailing with someone from another state.
I am hesitant to start forming any kind of bond or friendship, cause most times it leads no where. Do the guys from different states get a kick out of emailing us and professing to want to meet and than it never happens or than just were bored and had no intentions of anything other than emails back and forth.
I don't get why they do it, other than the mere fact that they find your profile interesting etc. I am here to connect with someone and hopefully plan a future with that person.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I am perplexed to say the least. I don't understand why guys would contact you from another state and than have no intentions of ever meeting.
Are they playing games in the effect to get you interested and than do the disappearing act. I would appreciate any feedback.
I am curious to know why guys from other states want to date or start a relationship from such a hugh distance.
Isn't the purpose of dating is to see one another and get to know them better.
My question is why guys continue to send me emails from states out further than the surrounding areas, MD, NY NJ etc. When my profile clearly states that I am only looking for someone in the area.
It baffles me cause, I wonder what they are thinking. How do you date and start a relationship from a long distance point?
The basics to building a foundation for a relationship. Being respectful of one another and their feelings, being honest, truthful and have the maturity and being responsibile.
