im sorry, i was refering to the excorcist being my favorite, but the howling is a good one as well, you can only get so many on the poll, it makes you think about alot of others that arent on there!

ive seen people get so totally creeped out by the excorcist, they have to go outside and get fresh air. its incredible it still has that affect 36 years later. linda blair was awesome!
i wasnt sure about putting carrie and excorcist on there. guess i put em on just because of the pure shock factor when they were released. remember the craziness around the excorcist.
i agree with you point, but during the 70s i think horror movies kinda took off in thier own direction and became different from the traditional scary movies. i also agree that some of the older ones are actually better movies!
there a differnce between a scary movie and a horror movie. a scary movie evokes a sense of fear(dracula, the shining, omen), while a good horror movie brings out physical emotion of fear! my poll was about horror!still love dracula though
