You are right we were a complete shambles under Staunton but we wont go to SA with that team. We can't win a game and we wont get through the playoffs with a draw. The best we can hope for is Greece cause Slovina, Portugal, Russia, Bosina, France and the Ukraine will all slaughter us.

I am glad to see the women agree with me. I suppose is just the awkardness of bringing up the fact he is unemployed and explaining he has not got a huge disposible income is what he is worried about.
Hi guys, i was talking to a friend last night and we were discussing the modern dating scene. He is a single guy who has recently lost his job and is a bit down on his luck. He is worried about entering the dating scene as an unemployed man as he feels he could not afford to take a lady on a proper date, and if he did scrape the money together for one date he certainly could not afford a second. How do you feel about the subject?
I personally told him that as a man i would pay for the first date as it is sort of tradition but i feel that going dutch after that is only fair. In the modern workplace there is as many women as men so i think the days of the man always paying are long gone. Am i wrong?
P.S Please don't turn this thread into a childish slagging match.
I just wish more people had that attitude but sadly they dont. Its the "i'm alright Jack" attitude in most places now. Even the larger family groups we used to see years ago are dissapeering. I remeber knowing all my cousins and 2nds cousins as well as Aunts and Uncles and seeing the all very regular. Nowadays sadly i don't see any of them that much and would probably pass their kids on the street as i don't know them at all. In 10 or 20 years time Ireland will be like London or New York were people are close to maybe 1 or 2 friends and their immediate family.
I think sadly those days are gone. The celtic tiger and other happenings in the 90's killed that sort of thinking off. People are scared to leave their kids with anyone who is not family nowadays because of all the scandels of the past. And to be honest, who can blame them? If i had kids i would be the same. As for people helping neighbours i think mosr people now bearly know their neighbours. A quick hello in the mornings and evening is about as social as it gets. People have such a busy lifestyle nowadays. Of course there will be exception to the rule but i think we have to accept those days are long gone and the friendly, jovial Irish have now turned into the rushed, stressed and busy Irish. We are more like New Yorkers now.
I have discovered on the couple of weeks i am on CS that most women over the age of 35 lie about their age on here. Do you think this is womans perogitive or do you think its as bad as a man telling a lie about his apperance?
