Hey, I read your post and it sounds great. I think you are just falling into the same trap that many of us feel. It is easy to feel discouraged finding our soul mate. But your profile is great. :)
I believe forgiveness helps you remove some of the bad feeling in yourself. I feel a sense of release when I forgive someone than remain bitter. It eats at me and I continue to feel abused somehow. However, when I can forgive someone, I feel powerful, I choose to forgive.
I do believe it is okay to forgive but not forget. Just because I forgive doesn't mean I will still keep in contact with the person. I forgive for my own benefit.
