Am I a fool to believe these profiles

Am I allowed to Diversify from the subject? Who in the name of G*D is ibizaforyou???

I did some Psychiatry and he/she/it needs help!!! Please find a suitable clinic and accept all the treatment on offer. On another matter. Should this person be allowed to post these daitribes freely on, what I imagine, is a legitimate website?

If that's what they're like in London, then thank goodness the nutters take their medication here in Scotland. Can't this person be deleted by a moderator or someome like that? I work in software engineering and it is not hard to trace these weirdos, even if they think they are specialists.

I hope you all ignore that person's comments????

Raynew.

I didn't post anything about Firestarter. I'm interested to hear what everyone says. Would never put anyone down. There are lovely people on this site. I just felt some are a little over ambitious in what they write. Not a sin, but if your getting replies from all the wrong people then edit the profile!!! Don't be rude!!!

To Fire.
Agree entirely with you. But when I'm in a caustic mood, the words just flow!!!! I'll just start a site for people who aren't interested in meeting anyone and can send rude comments to each other all day long. Charge 50 bucks a messages and retire!!!

As I say in my profile, I'm off searching for someone close by me, I'm starting the radius at 30,000 miles, but may extend it if they are too close!!!

Ohh here I go again..... Now where are those happy pills????????very mad

Am I a fool to believe these profiles

"Looking for a man from any distance" WHAT!!!!!!

Why don't the ladies just say, any distance as long as you are a 10 minute drive away?

I always try to check the location section, but honestly it is just a lot of baloney.

I think one day there will be a singles/dating site that only allows people to tell the truth, not exaggerated who they are or what they are looking for. I've seen posts from women who say, "don't tell me you are an ordinary guy, I'm not looking for one of those" Then ask for a straight normal guy who is interested in the same things as her.

As was said in a previous thread love can cross oceans. And please don't think I'm only talking about US gals here!!! Women in England think Scotland is on the other side of the universe!!! I think when they post on these sites, they remove half of their brain. You know, the part that knows about things like roads, cars, buses, trains and modern transport.

I know, I know!!! I'm in a bad mood tonight. But please accept this plea: Don't say any distance when you mean, "just down the street or a 5 minute walk from where I live"

Anyway I'm off to search for a cute girl from some exotic location. As long as I don't have to walk too far across the street to meet her!!!!

RE: Why is it so hard to find a girl who doesnt want you for your money?

Be like me. I used all of my cash buying holiday apartments in Turkey. Now I have no money to go out, but have some wonderful vacations. Then when the money comes in from the rentals. I'll find a happy girl who wants to spend the evenings sipping cool drinks and watching the sun go down.

Oh!!! and unlike me, do not let them know you have any cash at all. I write to some of them and they reject me thinking I'm a poor farm boy from bonnie Scotland .

I'm considering leaving this site, so it does not matter that they know now.

Just don't let them know you have any money at all. You will soon seperate the wheat from the chaff as we say in Scotland. An honest lady will write back to you wanting you for who you are and not what you are or what you possess!!!

Best of luck

Rick

Is re-location a reality

I agree with most of you. I do think we do always start out wanting a big adventure. But, as it gets closer the comfort factor weighs in and we start to narrow it down to, just over the border, just over the river, well maybe the other street from me. I think it is the finality of a move that puts people off.

I lived in Germany and the Netherlands, working and living in both places. It is really scary to start with, then you learn those scary foreign people are just human after all and some of them have fun.

I agree it would have to be for love and with a plan for supporting yourself.

Personally I think the move would either make or break you. You are forced out of the comfort zone and the real "you" has to kick in. I have always found my luck and friend count increased when out of the 'comfort zone' of home.

I don't know how the rest of you feel. But I think you would meet the real person. I would move in a minute for the right person, but with plenty of background knowledge for work etc.

I also think you become a better person when removed from the safety of home.

What do you think?

Is re-location a reality

I am new here. I would be interested to hear the views of the members here on re-location. Would you be willing to re-locate to a new country for someone you love, or have a person move to your town/city?

I ask because I have noticed a lot of women on this site want men who live within driving (bus) distance of them. While I understand this is them trying to be realistic and wanting the familiar things they are comfortable with.

But, whatever happened to the adventure of finding new people from interesting locations with a different outlook on life? I would have thought the world wide web would have encouraged international relationships. But sadly I find most women do not want to remove the comfortable shoes of the familiar.

I may be wrong but I don't think there are many women willing to move or have a man move to them?
