18 months, with visits each month - as distance relationships go, that's a pretty strong commitment - and both tied to locations because of jobs, etc? Roll on the sea-change, I say!

Good grief, woman! What on Earth possessed you to keep two live teenagers in your home? Is that even legal in this country? Sure, they might be trained, but underneath they're still as wild as any dangerous creature. Before you can blink, a teenager can rip open a large refrigerator, and consume all of its contents! Put two under the same roof, and they turn territorial, building up packs of friends; all of a sudden you're surrounded by parties ... with loud music and everything!

Well, damn! I must be going to the wrong sites or something; so far, I've mostly encountered a few (paraphrased, of course) "I don't care if my profile says I'm looking for friends; I want to get married ... now!" and "I really love you, and if you send money/agree to my scheme, we can be happy."

That's not to say I haven't met some genuine gems - real people who may yet become real friends; but yes, "minefield" describes it well.
