I know you are asking the ladies here. But let's get serious. Just as different men value different characteristics in a woman, different women value different qualities in men. There is really no great mystery here, you weigh the presence or absence of what you want most. If you are trying to match the expectations of somebody else in order to make that special connection, then you either do not really know who you are and what you want, or else you are not being real and nothing will ever last. The best bet is just be who you are, somebody is going to like it. When you don't care whether or not you or she is hot, then you are getting into something that might actually last, because the attraction is not superficial.
Actually, being older seems to be a disadvantage. New here, but from what I see of the listings, even the women my own age are setting the age limit of who they are seeking at about 50 or less. Being 54 with the heart and motivation half my age, that sort of puts me at a disadvantage. Don't know if I should risk trying to contact anyway, or just wait and see what comes my way ... or doesn't. I have read a lot of the forum postings, and it seems to me a lot of you guys are pushing the gray area of the whole respect towards women issue. Women may laugh it off and seem fun-loving about it, but the long and short of it guys ... they don't really like it. Most of my friends are females, and trust me, I know. I am here because the women I know are mostly married, or just not into giving up their independence. So ladies, if you want to meet a guy who is not ready for the pasture, and knows how to respect a woman, give me a shout. I am not in a hurry for anything, but I am a guy who will enjoy shopping with you and will watch "Beaches" and cry along with you. If you want the kind of guy that will pretend to be all macho and hide his feelings under a pile of innuendo and disrespect, then pass me by.
Yes, most definitely. In fact, most of my friends are females. There are some of us out here that identify better with women on and interpersonal level. Wanna go shopping ?
