I witnessed the walking dead during the 80's, totally agree with you, supposedly gone away but lets now see it re-emerge, and it will, and we'll blame the economy, but it was always there but we were all too busy with too much money to see it or acknowledge it and even the junkie's were richer cause pickings were better, but now there back to basics, which is why it will become more obvious
ok in some way I agree, but are you sayin that if your parents have money you know more about the dangers of heroin, everyone knows whatever background, but what makes a person go down that road, your background or social standing doesnt! However they all end up in the one place whether your family is paying for it or the public health service is and that is because addiction doesnt discriminate between any member of society
Dont be under any illusion that this is a problem only for the "impressionable impoverished society" when only a few years back during our "celtic tiger" times it was the done thing for young professionals to be snoting coke at every opportunity, which led onto untold problems for not only them, but their middle and upper class family who had at the end of the day become responsible for hiding a junkie through shame and embarrassment, but they would have also the money to hide such an embarrassment , and there are lot more hidden one's than the poor unfortunates on the street, I hardly think that any parent when their child is born wants them to become a junkie, whatever their background, education or background sometimes has nothing to do with the problem
