Profiles should be short and concise. Most people are not going to bother reading an extended autobiography. They want to know in just a few sentences whether or not there is some compatibility or any and possibilities for a relationship, so that they are not going to be wasting your time or you theirs. The higher your standards are the least 'connections' you will get. Less connections means less chances on sparks.
It also numbs things down. I would have probably give up the chase early.
Hi I'd like to weigh in on this comment. I think this may be your personal view. Although I do this there are many people here for various reasons. I am who my profile says I am, can't speak for anyone else. I think her standards are just fine, they weed out guys with selfish agendas and highlights that she is a person of class and if one is to attract her it would take effort and patience.
