I wouldn't change too much in your profile, but it does need a few minor additions.

Add some captions to your pictures. Especially the horse one.

Maybe explain what films/music/books you like, as it could be a conversation starter.



Regarding getting more mails. Send mails, but ALWAYS make them specific to the person you're mailing. Make sure you've read their profile, and ask them about something in it. Photos can be good as could ask where it was taken if it looks like a good holiday location. Your horse one is a perfect example of a mailing opportunity.
Never bother with a copy & paste one. We can tell them a mile off. Always ensure that you ask at least one question, so it can 'feel' like a conversation.
