About me: I'm enjoying the freedoms that come w/ age. I'm looking forward to finding someone. I'm very easy going and love to laugh. I open up the more comfortable I feel. I am down to earth and not high maintenance. I love animals and love my grandbabies. I like music, movies, art galleries, an occasional/ social drink, and spending time w/ friends. I grew up on the beaches of California and still love the sun. I worked with special needs children w/ behavior disruptions, it's challenging, but Rewarding. I’m currently retired. I enjoy not having a lot of drama in my life and looking for someone that also likes the simpler life pleasures & joys. A big part of the problem is (not all) but too many people have nowadays become de-sensitised and distant to others. Sites such as this, should be a good way to get to know and meet other singles. But sadly that is not the case! Too many others only want to play and mess around which makes it more difficult for the genuine people. That is the main reason for so many fake responses. May I suggest you join a local social group to meet other singles? Doing voluntary work within the community (for a couple of hours/ week) could be another idea of meeting someone? You have a good profile CalimesaBarb and cannot see anything wrong with it. Please don't put too much faith in this so called online dating.
