The honest answer is the site is not much of a real dating site! There are not that many active people on any forums, so don't put this down to your profile. I'd call it virtually dead.
There's a few profiles, many of which are fake, but you never know! Don't rely on the site though, you'll do far better in the real world.

It isn't your profile thar is the problem, it's the lack of people that are actively using the website.I think only the under 24 females, with pretty faces, that probably get mail. Best of luck anyway.
