i think your profile sounds good, and not too fussy. it's good to have an idea of what you want. who wants to wake up knowing they spent the last 20 years wishing they hadn't 'settled'. it just takes some time. and there's nothing wrong with sending an email to someone who catches your fancy,if you are comfortable to do that. be patient, and remind yourself that you're worth getting what you want.
try not to give too much attention to folks rating your photographs. remind yourself that there are all kinds of people on this site, and not all of them are going to be nice. just be yourself and you will find the right match for you.
