I dont seem to be attracting the right kind of guys...

I tried to sound as honest and genuine in my profile as I could and each time I read it I do feel it actually sounds like me and represents me quite well. Trouble is I'm tending to get a lot of responses from men quite far away and when I try replying the language barrier turns out to be as high as the distance barrier.
When I do get responses from closer to home the men, more frequently than not, tend to be much younger - younger than I'm comfortable with. When I do try to communicate with men I've found they don't respond and when I check out my 'who's viewed me' list men who I would think of as 'appropriate', with regards to age & location, tend to have passed on me...what am I saying that's wrong?

I understand...I live in Canada get alot from UK...too far for a coffee..both male and female though seem to want that "perfect" person to be on these machines and I doubt if that will happen. You might be able to meet the nice guy and the two of you might build a strong relationship but it all takes work.
Hang in there...your profile and pics sound/look great. You are not doing anything wrong....it's just life.

i think your profile sounds good, and not too fussy.
it's good to have an idea of what you want. who wants to wake up knowing they spent the last 20 years wishing they hadn't 'settled'.
it just takes some time. and there's nothing wrong with sending an email to someone who catches your fancy,if you are comfortable to do that. be patient, and remind yourself that you're worth getting what you want.

Hi....I think you have to do some personal research using the tags....
or maybe the kind of male you are looking for, does not live within 100 miles....in your preferred age range....
I think you have to use a slightly wider net...and like all search engines...be a little more open to variations....but most of all...patience....if not....with confidence...make the first move.

I agree with Roofus but add one thing. I say that you should add some photos of your body too. Everything is of your face and that will turn a lot of guys away. Don't take the oppinion of the girls because in a lot of cases they are making the same mistakes.

Hi, I'm new at this and haven't had much luck either. I think that's the way it is for most people though, the chances of finding someone worthwhile and close enough to get to know aren't good but if you are patient then maybe you will get lucky, because you are a beautiful woman, and seem genuine and straightforward. These are good qualities that good people are looking for so you could find someone who is everything you are looking for. Whether it's here or somewhere else the only way to meet someone is to put yourself out there which isn't easy I know so hopefully it will pay off for you, I think it will because you seem like you would be worth the effort and your profile is good.
