You may not always know where an item is, but you can usually find it. You have a life after all, and organizing isn't always your top priority. As long as you're not constantly losing important items you can continue on at your current level of organization. If you find yourself losing things left and right, however, or simply want to get a bit more organized try identifying which areas give you trouble and put in simple organizing systems in those spots. Labeled baskets and filing cabinets will do wonders for you.
