This recipe sounds delicious! I'm definitely going to make it. However, I must warn that glyphosate poison is being sprayed on beans, as a desiccant (drying agent). Being waterproof, only hot soapy water will remove it.

Many years ago, I didn't know this until my Boerboel's stomach twisted after eating bean soup. She was only 3-years-old. It was so severe that we had to euthanize her on the spot. Years later, I too started reacting to beans, so I googled it and discovered that they were being sprayed with poisons, and we were not being warned about it. I used to get terrible heartburn, which I never got before, which lasted for days, and dried beans had never given me heartburn before. So, if you have the same problem, just follow the instructions below. Grapes are also sprayed with waterproof poisons, so I use the same method with them and they no longer burn my throat.

To remove their poison, boil water, then turn off the heat, stir in some sunlight dishwashing liquid together with a sprinkling of Bicarbonate of soda, add your beans and stir about to remove their poisons. Empty into a colander and rinse under cold running water.
