As a person I would like to think of myself as a kind, altruistic and caring. I’m not sure I am! But those values are of fundamental import to me.
I’m somewhat quiet and shy at first. Yet I relish meeting new and interesting people, with different views and life stories, and learning about their aspirations and life. And then I quite quickly shred the mantle of shyness and social awkwardness!
I think perhaps as a person I’m somewhat atypical and unconventional. Something of an enigma.
In more semantic terms of interests, international affairs, politics and human rights fascinate me. I hope someday to come to a more nuanced and insightful comprehension of the world and society at large.
Sometime to clear my head I jump aboard Robyn, my trusty steed, my twenty year old Raleigh bicycle, formerly my fathers, and peddle till I worry my lungs may burst, watching as the people flash by, streaming together into one singularity. As the sun fades behind me I walk along the pier in Dun Laoghaire and breathe in the salty air as I watch the planes fly in over Howth, their landing lights shimmering on the horizon. Or else I cast off down the river by my parents house in my little wooden boat and look across at the sprawling estate were once a much loved fiancé set off for the war, never to return.

I'm not quite sure there is such a thing as "ideal". Human beings are complex, as thus are relationships. I do find myself drawn towards people who value compassion and empathy however. Those who try and relate to other people even if they are somewhat shy themselves. I think moreover that people who are impassioned and intelligent, and have a quiet conviction in what they believe are those who's company we all enjoy the most. People with a kindred, bohemian spirit are always intriguing!
