I am living on my canal barge in Nancy, France and I am looking for a Female soul mate or flat mate to share my adventures on a shared cost basis.

You dont need experience to relax for the summer. Canal and river Barging doesn't quite give the adrenalin rush as sailing does and there is no set destination. Instead of rolling hills of green white capped waves you see green hills capped with castles and chateaus and beautiful forests.
You can stop mid voyage and take in the ambience. It is calm and collected and is like being in a living and moving post card.
Although my barge was built over 100 years ago and worked very hard in her younger life, she like me has retired and has been given all the comforts of a modern apartment.
She has a cabin either end ,each with their own ensuite. The very large wheel house is perfect for dining with an all round view, while the lounge with its wood fire is cosy on a colder day. The spare cabin has 2 beds including en suite.
The maximum speed for me (by law) on the canals is 6 kilometres per hour and with the obstacles such as locks, the maximum distance per day is about 20 to 30 kilometres, but who wants to pass a pretty village to explore. As the barge is self sufficient, night stops can be just about anywhere on a canal and in towns and cities we can usually tie up in the heart. It is a great voyage for painters, photographers or those just wanting to soak up the history and culture of Europe.
