More About Me

My Name's Gary, I have mild autism, and schizophrenia, I was diagnosed at the age of 21 with mild autism.

I am a computer enthusiast, I know lots about technology, gadgets and computers, 20+ years of growing up with that stuff.

Also I am a amateur guitarist, I spent 13+ years playing on on my own on and off, and also, 1 year and 7 months with a guitar instructor, so 15+ years total.

at the time of typing this, I am 30 years old.

I also have helped out in a voluntary organization, fixing, and building PC's, 'Pentium II and III coppermine 'systems.

For a Charity called 'SC4C' Somerset Computers for Charity', this was back in 2003, I had worked for 18 out of 26 weeks, which included building machines, for schools, universities and colleges, and also other charities.

I also worked in a 'Missing People's charity shop', which I didn't enjoy so much.

The work was on a full-time basis, 39 hours a week.

At the moment I don't have a job, and I am seeing 2 carers per week.

Monday: Jan, takes me to Guitar lessons in the car (which is in Taunton) a place called 'Taunton Music Centre'

Wednesday I go out with my friend Jake and his mum Maxine, normally for a social chat, and to get something to eat, at a pub or a fast food store, and sometimes to 'Maplins' electronic and computer retailer specialists.

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, two of those days from the week, I will go out and do different activities with the help of my carers, James, and Sam, and Sarah.

So I am doing alot now to fight my mild autism and schizophrenia, and I hope oneday I will become more confident, and fun to be around, as I have a good network of friends. And I'm a friendly, patient, and kind hearted man :-)
