I grew up on a family farm in Minnesota. From there I did my BS and MS at U of Minnesota. After a 1 1/2 year assignment in India with the Ford Foundation, I attended Michigan State University for my Ph-D in International Development. I have 2 children from an early marriage and 3 children from a second marriage. Alll are educated and on their own. I have 7 grand children and 2 great grandchildren.
