Born & raised in Schenectady MI; went to college as a non-resident student at Northern Michigan University, Marquette MI - graduated 1-65 with BS degree with major in Geography and history minor; served 2 years active duty as a US Navy Reservist during Vietnam War Era; attended 1 semester grad school at University of Missouri, Columbia MO; returned home and got first professional job as cartographer with State of NY .I took some professional courses in interior design and architecture and this has been my surviving job after retirement.
I have come to realize that Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experience. On the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.....Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word "happy" would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.
But my greatest beauty secret is being happy with myself.
