I am a person who seek depth in life and living. This has been an overwhelming desire in me even since childhood. It is identified with an innate feeling of closeness to Nature that cannot be conceptualized. It is a primordial relationship in which homo sapiens is just another species in Nature that is controlled by some principle which permeates everything that is. This principle is like a continuous thread woven into the tapestry of the cosmos and is what I refer to as God.
At the same time however, the social dimension of human existence cannot be denied. Language, culture and religion are social artifacts. These things are imposed upon us by society through the process of socialization, which makes us human in a way that seems natural but certainly we are not born with language, culture or religion.
Even as a child, I have always felt a deep closeness to nature in which I feel a strong sense of oneness with plants, animals, earth, sea, sky and the whole of nature. I have written a few pieces of poetry/poetic prose in which I seek to express those feelings.
I am connected to Nature
And Nature is connected to me
From the tiniest insect
To the largest tree
From creatures in the deepest ocean
To those on top the highest mountain
From the tiniest ant
To the largest elephant
The tree takes in what I exhale
And returns to me what I inhale
I consume as food, plant life from the earth
After I die, on my remains they will feed
I am connected to Nature
And Nature is connected to me
I especially wish to communicate with someone who has made contact with one's deeper self where one experiences a unique form of energy, (call it chi, ki or prana), that gives a deeper awareness of oneself and the interconnectedness of everything in the cosmos including oneself.
