ELECTRIFYING SYNTH KEYBOARD PLAYING

one thing the modern keyboardist has against the rest if the musical community is the ability to layer sounds and drum rythms in real time...
only the very best guitarists can compete for that full "production" sound with one instrument...
i guess we have to thank Robert Moog for letting the genie out of the bottle all those years back with the first modular Moog synth systems...
look at Keith Emersons monster rig in 1971 and then the Roland DX7s of the early 80s...synths have come a long way in a relativly short time...today you can get a CD "packaged" yamaha CS80, stuff it in your computer, whack in a MIDI keyboard and your in business...easy eh'...
as a kid growing up, to me this would have been riches beyond compare...
and so i took up Bass!...
