What a lovely piece of film… I don’t think there’s much overdubbing here! Recorded for Dutch TV with two other songs (also available on here) this is by far the best of the three performances. Christine appeared on JJ’s fifth album ‘5’ in 1979 and seems to have contributed to everyone since… what a great rapport they have.
This song is from the 1982 ‘Grasshopper’ album, just one of a consistent run of excellent recordings from this ‘laid back’ artist.

And what a lovely pair of Ovations!

Very saddened to learn, this weekend, of the death of JJ on July 26th. I frequently miss the news because of work commitments.
Although not generally well know compared to others he was much respected by his peers.

The number of plays this posting has clocked up is interesting, considering the lack of comments… someone out there must like it!
