FBF can I poliely request that you dont flood the video section..I reckon if everyone posts 3 a day we can all enjoy the fruits of our labor.once video gets pushed down the pages the view drop dramatically .Its mot about taste its about everyones videos getting a fair shot..and there is every likelyhood that people would comment more..
Hope you dont mind me saying..as pointed out b4 Im not a mod or do not wish to be..but I would like to see more activity here,I know for whatever reason posters have left...and the more that post the greater the diversity.I blame this stupid comment system ..maybe a like button or a thank you button or something would be more inclusive..or a thread system ..I dunno but I get little staisfaction lately from here..yes maybe I should leave and I have done but for reason I love this little corner of CS.[/quot

...I read your comment last night,but didnt have time to reply..I thought what a good place to stick it,given the title of my video!....My first thought was ..The sky is big enough for all the birds..Then I thought you do have a valid point about disappearing off the page..I'm a victim too!...
If I post a lot mines will also disappear off the page..But you know people still look at pages 2 and 3.You must notice that when you see your viewing numbers do increase..Of course to appear on top shelf ensures best coverage,I do realise this.....
.....Okay I will abide by the rules,3 videos a day...if that is the rules as laid down by C.S....I must check the rules,I dont think there is a specific number on it...Need to see what they say about how many and what can be posted......
...Being honest when my videos disappear off the page,it doesnt really bother me,as I know people are not only looking at one page..However I dont want to appear selfish...If I post a lot of stuff,it's not done to do anyone down,or with any malicious intent...I do admit I get a bit over zealous at times...But on the other hand I'm not on computer all day and hardly ever at night..So there is plenty opportunity for others to post also....Maybe C.S. needs to introduce more options,wherein there would be even more opportunity...i.e.Music postings..Sport posting section...Comedy section...but as it stands I think the system is a fair one...People can post when they want..and view what they want.,and there is variety...I dont mind being sandwiched in between other material...People will only view what they want to see...If there is a problem,then it must be taken up with C.S...after all they are the ones who write the rules..
......But,do you know there is solution to all this...
...If you find your videos have disappeared off the page,you could always refresh them...(As you did with this one)That way you would ensure maximum coverage.....
....All I know is it's up to C.S....Therein lies the answer,Let them decide if there is problem...and let them solve it...
...I too like this little corner of C.S. I'm sure many people do..Everyone has equal opportunity....I'm sure there are enough hours in the day for everyone to be "top shelf" ..after all ...The sky is big enough for all the birds...

Thanks for the reply.I never said there was an actual problem..I just thought perhaps there is an opportunity to improve CS..considering the amount of people on the site being a worldwide site that if a casual user clicks the the video page they get a variety of videos..but if the page is all heavy metal for example then they go 'screw that' and never progress further than the 1st page as you have acknowledged . I know you where not being malicious perhaps a discreet email would have being more appropriate but I wanted to get some debate going as well.There have being a few incidents of mass posting since Ive being here but these too where because the poster thought this was a place to store videos.

And yes videos do get views but not as many as when commented ..I think people just skim through the pages to read the comments and maybe then watch the video..maybe not...views are inclusive and can be self generated ..I must admit to occasionally clicking through my own videos Im sure we all do but I also think that the view counters are too easily manipulated. I do think a thanks button would be a nice way to thank the poster. a

might work but everyone would have to participate..not just the same few people otherwise it just looks like partnerships being formed to promote each others video..Some videos I like but not really enuff to comment.and thats probably endemic .people then get feed up and leave(I think?) ,I dont know that there is a solution(to a non existent problem)

Oh BTW there is no 3 video limit ...if there is consenus maybe a limit could be invoked... .maybe we could have a Poll see what everyone else thinks? I could be on my own with this one .. so FBF please ignore me - post as you see fit!

...Thanks for your reply.I'm glad you brought the video back to the topshelf.............I dont see a problem,but you obviously did when you wrote in the first instance...However,there is always solution.
..No, you did the right thing,going via the video...A private e-mail would have been totally unappropriate.After all this is a matter for everyone who uses the video section,and any controversial matters must be out in the open..So everyone can form their own opinion......I am totally honest person,who believes in fair play.I am straighter than any line you can draw.
...Regarding using the site as a video store..There would be little sense in that..I have my own video store.I must stress again,this is not why I post videos...........I merely post videos,as I want to share them,as others do too I expect..Dont you think people posting new or obscure bands is a great thing?..It gives others the opportunity to hear bands they would probably not hear of otherwise,and have discussion on the Music...Is'nt that part of what this section is all about?...
....Yes,its an International site,what a platform for Music etc...from all countries!!...Though not everybody cares to post videos....I'm sure people are more likely to if there are no disruptions or bad feeling...That I would say would result in people leaving rather than the choices of Music available...After all,all they have to do is post to get a video on..............
.....I have already written to C.S.,inquiring about number of videos per person per day...and to see if they can rectify the situation.They dont reply personally,thats not the way they work...I would urge you and anyone else with an interest in this matter to contact them too..As that is the way ahead....
Improvements can always be made...You mention the "counter system" and the "Thanks button"...then tell them your opinion...As I said before,its up to them to decide the fairest method...............cont.

..Yes,of course,I do intend to post...I'm merely restraining myself,as I do admit..I can be over-zealous when it comes to Music....I'm letting others have a go..I would hope everybody posts when they feel like posting,regardless of, if someone is in full-flow......That way there is diversity and it can only enrich the choices...Dont you agree?
...Anyway in the meantime,it would be nice to restore equilibrium,and have everyone participate in posting what they want to share...I'm going for a coffee...

Yeah,I know you have a point...Mass poster...I am trying to restrain myself,and just come out in bursts here and there...as I dont want to steal air play from anyone else.....(It wont be easy)..It's the enthusiasm for the Music you see,I cant help myself....So I'll still be there...just spread out a bit......No,I dont bump up scores .Then I would'nt see which tracks people prefer i.e. from the 60's.....I really wish there was more input from Asia,Middle East...And Eastern Europe...There is brilliant stuff out there....and some roots reggae would be awesome!!..........
