Been there ,seen that,,and climbed to the top,,and the weather,was not as nice as that!!!!

I hope to do that trip....I've heard the climb up there if you want to take it,is very snake infested.....That makes me think twice...

Actually I did not go to that part,,I went to the touristy part just north of Beijing,,,they where thousands of tourists there,,it was a pretty steep climb to the top,,I never saw any snakes,it was too cold,,My advice to anyone considering visiting the great wall,,STAY AWAY from organised tours,,in china they are a big rip off and you end up visiting jewelry shops and chinese doctors,,you have been warned!!!

Thanks for the tip....I'll keep that in mind...I had been talking to a student who loved Machu Picchu...They done the Inca Trail...It was all right,on the accent,but at the begining,he said there were so many snakes just...lying around...That DID put me off..I would'nt go for organised tours anyway...
