top 10 reasons NOT to move to canada

this video was posted almost a year ago so, the info on covid-19 is outdated and soon to be irrelevant. for the most part, the reasons are legit but i get the sense that none of them would hold this guy back from moving to canada. the immigration reason would be the biggest hurdle. as for the internet reason, the cdn gov't wants broadband speeds of 50mbps (dwnld) and 10mbps (upld) available to 95% of cdns by 2026. i live in the heavily populated southern corridor of ontario and my speeds (today) are ~71mbps and ~11.95 mbps. i think the issue is more of the high monthly fee. if it costs just as much to install a network in canada as the US, then the monthly fee would be higher because of the smaller cdn population. average monthly cost of living based on 2019 figures are cheapest in quebec city ($2623CDN) and montreal ($2627CDN), which includes housing, food & groceries, transportation and utilities. minimum wage various from province to province or territory. in quebec until may 1, 2022, the minimum wage is $13.50CDN and $10.80CDN for employees receiving a tip (like waiters). in ontario, until september 30, 2022, the minimum wage is $15CDN. these hourly rate makes it tough to eek out a living.
