pros & cons of living in Hamilton Ontario canada

this is my 2nd post about Hamilton. despite being born and raised in Hamilton, i was never a city booster until the last 15yrs or so (i turned 65 in 2023). i think it stems from the fact that Hamilton is so close to Toronto. it is so large (& rich) and the capitol of the province of Ontario that it garnered all the attractions. this video is an infotainment for the realtor, but it does a great job of presenting many pros & cons of the city. rush hour traffic can be brutal, and it does take a lot longer to drive to Toronto or Niagara falls than stated in this video, especially on the weekends or if there is an event scheduled. i have found that it is easier to get in and out of the city for a concert or event in the evening in comparison to Toronto. because of the housing prices of Toronto, many people started to locate in Hamilton prior to 2020. this has raised property values to the point it might be as cheap as before, but still cheaper than Toronto. a side benefit is that the restaurant and art scene has seen an influx of talent. despite being the 3rd largest city in Ontario, it still has the small town feel.
