Agree with you Solitarius, anything can be a weapon and people do commit violent crimes without using guns - but it will cut down the violence and alienate these weapons as it has done in Aust

The florescent bulbs have been happening in Australia now for quite a number of years - even before the recent current debate-- I believe their appeal was they were longer lasting as well as not using as much power for the price charged .
I have always been of the belief that if you have a good product and that will be comparable to what is in the market place at present and addresses the concerns of the consumer in this case saving them money in both bulbs and energy costs then you are almost the way there -- aesthetic can improve the saleability and more importantly as I have mentioned in another thread the recycling capabilities compared to fluro --- now that would be the biggest selling point .
