A bless ed season is here once again
as it has happened for many a year
a pause to forgive- its never too late
for never is a long time for disdain
a pause to reflect or a pause to forget
ills of the past that have pained-


A blessed time of joy
-giving , sharing -receiving good tidings and truth
to look straight ahead,-clear vision - sure
with love from within,-shining - pure
lighting the way, opening doors
of peace for one- for all

And still methinks each year this period arrives
why slot it in only one day
for a birthday is as it implies
the birth of a new day —-

The gifts I will give thee -you will not see
like seasonal winds sculpting earthly things
they will permeate your spirit and bond
my love, I will share with thee
this you will not see
you will feel its energy -though my friend
and one day, fly - soar with me -to journeys end
A-nd if per chance we encounter headed winds -
look beyond the stars my friend
through the darkest night
on wings of angels there is light all around
-welcoming in beauty's sight
let us bathe in tomorrow's reprieve and shine
like beacons in this darkness
glow like a rainbow through all the shades of bright
soar like the Manutara
through calm -above angered seas
glide like eagles over mountains forests—cities
rivers- streams…..
and if life's’ journey brings us to our knees.. rest, and whilst in the depths of that bleakness— then, like the plants in spring, rise with vigor and direction
- never lose sight of the dream... (c)
